I made a text event on my project with swirl video fx, it worked initially. I saved the project and closed the sony vegas. Shut down the PC, next day when I opened it added some more text to the same text media event with swirl, now I don't see the swirling effect.

I tried to add a new text and new swirl, it doesn't work either. Can you tell me what could have went wrong? Did I make any mistake accidentally? Thanks in advance.

Hey, just now I found that none of my video fx are working now. I can add them to the event, add key frames, but don't see their effect. Some thing terribly happened to stop all the video FX. Help me!!

Is there red line thru the fx bus icon in the track header. I suspect you have turned all fx off accidentally.

Check this:

Got to Preview > Split Screen View icon > confirm you HAVEN'T engaged the FX-Bypass option and then HAVE engaged the icon.

2 options here:

1] Engage the FX-bypass when it IS selected

or

2] Disengage the FX-bypass when it ISN'T selected

Both of these option get you the same result: No FXs being seen working in Preview.

Pros: A powerful & valuable feature set allowing an editor to ascertain if you are getting the FX result you want

Cons: Does require a modicum of appreciation just what Vegas can do.

So,the "Problem with Swirl Video FX on vegas pro 8 ", if this IS the case, FX By pass Icon User error, and I think it will be, wont be an issue with this or, come to that, any of the Vegas FXs.
