Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Question Problem with video import

Hi to all I am new here. I have a little problem, cant open som mp4 files for editing. Sony vegas 8 pro it write this:

and GSpot analyzes this:

This video was recorded by Gamecam, it works all fine all time but i dont know whats the reason of it. I tryed codec pack all in 1, K-lite pack and of course individual codecs like FFDshow, Morgan MJPG and more.... but nothing helps

Please help me find solution how to fix it, thanks.

If an editor accepts video of doubtful provenance it's a bonus.

Editors are designed to be bug free with camera files.

I suggest you convert the vido to a dv file. Use super c - its free and the best.

No Mark means DV or more accurately standard definition DV - PAL or NTSC (difference between the two being the frame rate) It's a codec which uses the avi wrapper and has been the "standard" for digital video for the last 10 or so years (ie forever in terms of DV)

To output this format in Super, select output container = avi and codec as DV Digital Video
