Nah my bitrate for X-vid codec is at 3000kbps and the point of preferring the larger image is for a more dramatic effect, and also because as it is I have to squinch really hard to see most of the text in the video, and some of it is illegible even then.

Bump? I still need to know why at least it won't let me produce a video larger than 800x600, regardless if it diminishes the quality.

Clearly none of the brains here have an answer. It's a mystery. Or a mithterwee as Toyah Wilcox once sang. I suggest you pop over to Sony Creative Software - Vegas video - ACID & Sound Forge audio editing and raise a support ticket. It may take a couple of days but they'll get back to you.
