Thread: Editing a song with Vegas Movie Studio PLEASE HELP

Hey

I'm using Sony Vegas Movie Studio 8.0 and i was wondering if it is possible to mute only part of a song. Is there a way to select part of it and only mute that part???

If anyone has any ideas on how to do this your help would be greatly appreciated.

You coud "split the section that you want muted and either 1. delete it 2. From the top of the clip, drag it down to lower the gain

Vegas is equipped with excellent audio editing tools. For volume control, right click on the audio track (not on an event), go down to Insert / Remove Envelope, select volume and use the blue control bar to make adjustments. Or use Shift and V if that's easier. It's even possible to record volume changes and a whole heap of other things in real time too. As I said, Vegas is brilliant with audio.
