Thread: Help with Sony Vegas?

I just downloaded a trial version of Sony Vegas Pro 8.0, and I'm having a big problem with it. When I insert video into the timeline, everything shows up... Scrambled. It's basically just random blocks of colour, instead of the video that's supposed to be there. The audio, though, works fine.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?!

Find out what Vegas is telling you about the CODEC for the Video. Also run the free software - GSpot - to tell you what CODEC is needed for the Video.
