Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Exclamation 'Jumping' Frames

Hi Guys,

I'm using Vegas 7.0C and i'm experiencing a very annoying problem.

When I render a movie the frames are sort of jumping, it is very hard to explain, but when I use a dvdplayer and I skip the movie frame by frame, the 1st frame goes forward, than it jumps 2 frames back and after that one it skips 1 frame forward.... or something.

For example: http://home.quicknet.nl/mw/prive/kn/weird.mpg Open this in i.e. PowerDVD and see for yourself. It also occurs on my stand-alone dvd player. This doesn't happen with the original files btw.

Please, does someone know why this is happening? I'm using the default DVD Pal Settings.

I suspect all is well - you may just be seeing the interlacing - Interlace - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A jumpy effect can sometimes occur when you change frame rates, have you ?

Odd indeed. To me it just looks like shaky camerawork. But it isn;t that.

You say you ONLY see this AFTER render?
