Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Rendering MPEG-4 AVI in XviD with Sony Vegas Pro 8.0

This seems to fail without reason.... I'm encoding with the latest XviD to AVI format, with standard settings.... Not sure why, but the resulting file has no duration and is a whopping 197 KB. O.o

Running Windows Vista Home Edition on my laptop, with 2GB RAM and a 1.8GHz Core2 Duo.

Source files are MPEG-4 XviD AVI as well, @ 23fps. Standard 640x480 NTSC square pixel. (Same as the new render.)
