Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default What's with Movie Maker?

I made a video on my Sony camcorder which I want to edit in Movie Maker. I didn't see the fine print at the bottom which says my Sony DCR-SR42 HD camcorder is incompatable with Movie Maker. I've tried everything I can think of. I even tried to edit on a few free trial editing programs..........but, I want to edit on Movie Maker. Do I need to get a new camera??
Has anyone else had this problem??

No you don't need a new camera as that will cost too much. Just download a 30 day trial of Sony Vegas Platinum and see if that fixes the problem. If you can find a software solution then that is cheaper than buying a new camcorder. Windows Movie Maker is too basic and it can only work with a small number of video files, so you will have to give up on the idea of using WMM.

Hi Nikosony,
Thanks for the advice. I got the free vegas editing program and I love it. I will buy it when my trial time is up.
Thanks again!
