Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Apply transition to multiple tracks in Vegas Pro 8?

I am doing some titles in my new movie, and I want to do transitions between the two titles (namely - pixellate)

However, some of the title sections consist of multiple tracks.

Is it possible to "merge" (Like doing a "Merge Down" in Photoshop I suppose) multiple tracks without rendering out? I saw some option for tracks "Compositing child" and "Compositing parent" but that didn't seem to do anything.

Anyone know a way to treat multiple tracks as one for the purposes of a transition?

This is a Job for "Nest-Man"! - Seriously? This is exactly what VEgas Nesting was meant to do. Since V7 we have been able to treat Veg files AS straight media. Meaning one can fold-in, insert, colour correct whatever . . a Veg file AS you would with an Event.

1] Save your 2 existing regions/areas of titles as 2 veggies Veg project - MyVegProj1 AND MyVegProj2

2] Open a New Veg and import/insert MyVegProj1 - it will come in as a single track PROXY file - do the same i the new veg with MyVegProj2

3] Overlap them and add the transition between them as you wish! - Done!

Multi track nesting? - Totally awesome!!

Grazie
