Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Tell us? Where exactly ARE you seeing these 3 files? And now explain in step by step order how you are going about rendering. What you select and what tool you are selecting.

Step by step . .

Grazie

I have named the file 'Bansko 2008' and saved it as an AVI file to the 'My Videos' folder on my hard drive.

Once rendered its splits it exactly in to 3 files of about 18 mins each and labels them 'Bansko 2008' 'Bansko 20081' and 'Bansko 20082'

I click File - Render as. Enable Multichannel Mapping box is not ticked. I am using the NTSC DV Template. List of boxes to tick below description are all unticked except Render Loop Region Only. Also the box saying Copy Media With Project is ghosted out along with the box Use Project Output Rotation Setting.

I then click Save and it begins its process.

I hope this is enough information for you and yet again thanks for your time and patience in helping me resolve my query. As i said i'm literally brand new to this so any help is greatly received

Cheers

Hmmm... they are all exactly the same time length? What are the sizes? How BIG are they?

Interesting . .

Grazie

I've deleted them now Grazie. Would you like to render again to tell you exact time lengths and file sizes?

the only thing i can think of is to try and render it as a different file type.... .wmv or something. Because .avi files are much larger

or you can go to you render options and maybe you have a setting screwed up.
