Ok, this is wierd. I have a typical AVI clip, I drag it to the editing window, timeline shows up, and when I preview it, I hear it, but I DON'T see it?

The preview window is there, and simply does not display the video. When I play the video directly from the Media bin it previews fine, but after I drag it to the timeline, no video. Yow.

Any help, ideas?

You have a Compositing level selected. I can see the "X". And as you ARE attempting to do some green screen I would think you have applied this and are now "midway" in setting up your CHROMA KEYING Fx process - Am I right . .or am I right . ..

First of remove the compositing X and check you can see your "actor" against the GScreen.

Been here done EXACTLY the same.

Now, I suggestion to all wanting to some support there? Do a screencast like our Chum? PLEASE!!!!

Ok! While I have no idea what you just said, I did find the compositing mode feature, changed it to "Source" on my first track, and WHAMMO. Thanks!

I have a LOT to learn here obviously, but I can now at least see the video. That's a great start!

Any recommendations you might have for a tutorial program (or set of videos)?
