And offers a lot of flexibility too. More fundamental than that, it SHOULD be there.

Compositing needs a cool head combined with a sense of adventure in wanting to take a "chance" -
you did it! I am learning everyday more and more with layering and compositing. There are "simpler" approaches that can "ape" a finish - I couldn't call them alternatives, but digging-out just WHAT compo can do for you
IS the
ONLY way to release more creativity in your work, PERIOD. Well, this has been true for me, I shouldn't speak for others.
