Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Question Is it possible to export the same file as IMPORTED In SONY VEGAS??

I have wonderful picture quality movie.
HD 1920X1080

They are in .m2t

On sony vegas 8 they look great when editing. But When I export
(not matter what file type AVI, WMV, MPEG etc..,.) They look like damn crap.
even after put every higher bit rate, frame by second, or quality at 100%
it's just crap.

I'm hoping to find a way to export EXACTLY the same thing as imported just edited...

How can I do this without lossing quality???

thank you

Can you upload a clip to the net so we can see whats happening? It sounds like a setting is off. If your planning on burning to a dvd then the m2t files won't work.

You can download free codec packs from the web. In order to burn to a dvd it "HAS" to be mpeg-2. I'm guessing the quilty is off because the bitrate is to low or the field oder is off. If you video is shorter then 70min just use A CBR of 8,000,000 and then render a few min. with lower, upper, none (progressive) Field Order and see what works best.

Hi I am having a very similar problem and was wondering if a solution has been found.

Im am using Vegas 7.0, and editing a AVI (NTSC) file that was given to me.

It too looks great in the editing etc..... but when I export out (using different exports settings and going for uncompressed settings, best quality etc......) it comes out looking terrible and pixelated etc.... blocky color etc... -nothing like the original footage. It has lost a lot of detail and looks like a poor quality web video.

I can not work out what is going on.........
