Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Missing keyframes in Video effects

I would appreciate any help from the forum wizards please
I have just upgraded to Studio 8 platinum version 8.0c Build 136 but am having trouble finding keyframes. Video tracks 2 and 4 have the icons to expand and collapse Track keyframes but not tracks 1 & 3 and these work ok with Pan & crop. If I try to add Video effects to clips the docking window that opens has a large blank area at the bottom of the window where in Version 7 the keyframe tracks would have been. If I adjust the sliders in the docking window the sliders move when the clip is played through but without the keyframe markers it is impossible to return to the keyframes to make adjustments. The help files in the program say that Video FX, Track motion and Transitions are all keyframable
Is it possible that the installation of Studio 8 has not worked properly or have I missed something obvious.

Thanks for any suggestions

I have the same version and same build and everything works for me.

Couldn't be something simple like the Keyframe portion of the window is hidden?

Try moving the cursor over the bottom of the Video Event FX window. When the cursor changes to that little 'equals sign' with an up and down arrow (sorry don't know the name for that particular cursor) then drag up and the Keyframe dialogue should appear.

Good luck

Hi Jammy
As you guessed this was indeed the problem and I can now keyframe to my hearts content. As a matter of interest does your version on Studio 8 only allow you to expand the keyframes below tracks 2 and 4.

I have found that the expand/collapse keyframe tracks only become available if I use track effects, this is where I was getting confused. If I use the event effects then the keyframes for that event appear at the bottom of the plug in window.
Thanks
