Hey guys I have Vegas 8.0 and Im trying to use the masking tool to make a light saber but every time I try to use it the option isnt there is there any way of getting that back????

Could you please describe exactly the steps you are taking, what you expect to see and what you do see. Also a pointer to the instructions you are following would be very useful.

ye ok I put a video on the timeline and I put a solid color on top of that then set the solid color to be partialy transparent. I opened up the Pan/Crop option and in the bottom left hand corner of that screen there is supposed to be an option called "mask" I dont have this option....any Ideas on how to remedy the situation? heres a link to the tutorial I was using.......... Much clearer! I suspect you have Vegas Movie Studio 8.0 not Vegas Pro 8.0 (previous "pro" versions were just called Vegas). VMS doesn't have masking in pan/crop , I'm afraid.
