Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default VEGAS not seeing my camera when i try to save it to your HDV

Appreciate any help, Im just getting to grips with Vegas and editing some HD footage, all that seems to be going fine, until i realised i will need some way showing iot a small film meet, to show it i think i may have to put it back on to the camera, and play from there.

The problem, when i try make movie - save it to your HDV camera.
It reports DEvice unavailable.

The camera has connected fine and I can use the sony software to browse and pull off footage, i have connected with USB and i can see the camera and browse it from explorer.

I am using Vegas 8.0b, Windows Vista

any thoughts appreciated, hopefully i am doing something silly.

Check the camera is set to HDV in, and not DV

I am assuming your camera allows DV-In ?

No you're not. You're using Vegas Movie Studio 8.0b, Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 8.0b or Vegas Pro 8.0a

It might make a difference?
