h.264 video camera footage not showing sound

Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

h.264 video camera footage not showing sound

Hello forum! I recently bought a HD video camera(some cheap one at Best Buy) and when I imported the video to Sony Vegas, the video shows up, and the audio shows up, but the audio shows a bunch of silence, and obviously is quiet. I can play it in quicktime and it plays the audio fine. I uploaded the video to youtube and it plays the video and audio just fine too. What gives? I'm not sure the exact codec, but I do know it's in h.264 format. Not sure if that maters with the audio not playing.
