i have vegas 6.0 studio and then i have after effects how can you get files from vegas to after effects without redering the movie.

OK, I'll clarify.
As I understand it...
If you've edited a sequence in Vegas, you'll need to render that to something in order to work with AE. You can't simply pass AE a veggie and AE doesn't work as a plug-in in Vegas.
