Im not sure if version 7 is like this but I DO NOT want my title text to overlap the video. From what I read this is a default setting and I'm wondering if there is anyway to get rid of this and have a blank background (say, black), have my text and then start the video after the titles are finished. Any help? Thanks!

simply import a black image or video and overlay the text over that
