Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Best rendering setting for downloading from web

Hi,
I am in the process of building a guitar tutorial website and i have recorded and edited many tutorials using sony vegas. The videos last around 10 to 12 minutes each.
I have been scratching my head and doing many tests because i am trying to find the best settings for rendering my videos.
I wish to make the videos available for download from my website, but i am trying to keep the file size down to a minimum (to keep the download time relatively low) while maintaining the quality of the video.
Also (just to make things more complicated) i am trying to use a piece of software called 'autoplay' which makes the download an .exe file, so the end user opens the file through this .exe file and the video plays with its own player.
The limitations of 'autoply' means that it will only except the following file types:
.asf, .asx, .wax, .wmv, .wvx, .wmp, .wmx, .avi, .mpg, .mpeg, .m1v, .mpa, .mpe, .mpv2

Has anyone created any videos that have been made available for download from the web, and if so i would like to ask what settings you recommend.
Many thanks for reading this,
Matt.
