| | | | | Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers... |

Hello there
I was just wondering if Sony Vegas 7 is compatible with Windows Vista?
Many Thanks for your time.

More horses mouth. Sony Creative Software - Vegas+DVD Production Suite - System Requirements
Basically 7 - no, referring to the other horse, 8 - yes (when it comes out)

A thought occurs to me. If you are asking the question and already own Vegas 7 (full version) then I can add nothing furter.
If, on the other hand, you are considering purchasing Vegas, then consider Vegas Movie Studio (Platinum if you like) which IS ALREADY in version 8 and IS VISTA COMPATIBLE.
You may well be able to do all you need for now and can upgrade whenever full v8 is in production.

Thanks again.

Works fine for me. Make sure you upgrade to the latest version, though!

TWIY - It's definitely worth it. The previous build had awful problems with "Media Manager" and the like, but Sony fixed that with their recent release, plus made it generally more stable.
