Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Top advice IIB - the best music videos I have done have used a combination of some of the above.

I do the marker thing with the music track streached to 'see' the music and listen listen listen play play play - the more time you spend on letting the whole project soak into the synapses the better - it just all comes together suddenly and 'eureka' - I love those moments.

Its a combination of a technical process that you find your own way through and that slower creativity thing.

That is never going to be fast or easy and it is a very personal process.

Too right Mark!!! And those Eureka Moments are a drug to me.

PLUS, what might look like a "simple" edit has taken hours to do and often YEARS in the craft-skilling process.

That would be a bias ;>

Biases can often stifle creativity and free-thought, and are inherent cognitive 'defects'-(depending on the context) that we all must deal with. Unperfect the "perfection" which is not perfect, is the thought-style I promote.

Like right now I need to reinstall Windoze. It's going to be a tedious drawn out ordeal, but afterwards the rewards will be overwhelming.

OK, I'm starting to develop a complex.

I could just about live with myself after my strong tendency towards literal rather than lateral thought was pointed out (when I mentioned I lost interest in the Black Eyed Peas at Wembley at Live Earth when I found all my effort was being concentrated on deciphering what was being said /sung/grunted - another forum, another thread, remember Grazie?`)

And now, because I expect that when I select something, my cursor will be moved to the start of that selection rather than the end, its an indication that my creativity and free-thought is stifled.

I'd top myself, but I probably can't think of a creative way in which to do it (though I'd probably argue the toss about what camera/format/media to use)
