Is this possible with sony vegas?

Hi

im new to video editing
and i am wondering if you can do this with sony vegas 7.0
YouTube - FIREBENDER 2
I want to make a movie where i'm "firebending"

and if it isnt possible with sony vegas, with what program is it possible?

I think you'd probably need to do that in a programme like Particle Ilussion wondertouch: home of particleIllusion

you can get ready made effects from companies like videocopilot and use them with vegas but to get a professional look you'll want to get a compositing program like After effects, combustion or the program mentioned above.

try the particle illusion demo... it will make what you want... then chroma key it over your project in vegas and pan/crop it to the correct position... it works pretty nicely for the cost (which if you use the demo is free)!
