Block letters in Vegas

Hi all. Just found this great forum so I am new here. Anyway.
Read through the thread about light saber effect and saw this:

Its worth a watch its a very well put together film and the effects are spot on.

In the fist second of that movie the camera is moving through large shining blockletters in 3D. Very cool effect indeed.
Is this possible to do in Vegas? And if, how to make it?? Or do I have to use any other program for that effect?
