Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Video inserts in Sony Vegas

Hi everyone
I'm a newbie after may years out of video (in the days of analogue) and now back to shooting in digital formats.

I have a very simple question regarding Vegas. How do I insert a video track (in my day called a 'video insert' but can't find this term in help menu) over an existing video track. In Adobe Premiere Elements you simply right click the track and choose 'delete audio'. Can't sem to find this in Vegas and becoming very frustrated!!

Basically how do I separate the audio and video tracks and delete the audio?

Sorry for such a basic question!

Help appreciated

Geoff

Click on ignore grouping, on the tool bar then right click on the track and delete, but if you have it checked and you want both video and audio and start editing you'll mess up the sync.
