Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Scope effect?

I'm doing an MGS parody and it uses and SVD scope. Is there a way to make it look like this:

damn! I would like to know!

maybe you could create this part http://site.opticsale.com/lib/images/Reticles.jpg on photoshop with a transparent background and maybe add in that effect using the "Effects" button in photoshop, then add it on a layer above the video layer? I will see what i can create for you. However, the effect for the man, might be hard.

...Grazie?

There are several steps to achieve this.

First find a scope from the net, on googel pic search there are loads. Place this on the topmost video track and chroma key out or mask out the bits that need to be transparent.

On the track below put the 'action'. Add the 'colour curves' effect to the track and select the preset 'infrared'.

The devils in the detail but that is it in a nut shell.

cant figure out the red heat looking thing tho.

first put in image and chroma keyed out the yellow and put some blur. then added video below it and used the cookie cutter to get it inside the scope and feathered it alittle. then added a tv simulator. just cant figure out the color
