Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Sync Problem from VEgas 7 to DVDa

I´ve done a project using Vegas 7. All is ready, the audio is in complete sync with the video confirmed by viewing in the preview screen on Vegas 7.

I choose "render as" and AC3 stereo file 192kbps. No biggie, all goes well and i end up with an AC3 File.

The problem is that while working in DVDa, i import the video, and after i import the audio. While in the preview screen of DVDa the audio is out of sync!!!?!?

Can anybody help me?

BTW: I´ve tryed to create the DVD using DVDa but the audio is out of sync also.

Have you tried it with PCM sound and see if that makes a difference?
Have you tried using the Batch script so it does it automatically?

IS DVD-A set to PAL?

I have never had it with my DVD-A

Please render a small piece of your original project to AVI and then repeat the AC3 and MPEG render and create a DVD thru' DVDA.

If you DO have another DVD authoring package, I would be tempted to test the old AC3 and MPEG thru that too?

I create a finished AVI of the WHOLE project - one BIG file - and then render that out to AC3 and MPEG. That way I just KNOW that both files are the same length.

Synch drift - is it drift? - is a real pain in the bottom. If it is just OUTTA Synch from strat to finish then I'd be looking at FILE lengths ( hence that above) and NOT getting the AC3 sitting correctly UNDER the video for authoring.

Grazie
