In both Sony Vegas 7 and Sony Acid 6 the sound stopped working all of a sudden. I can render the file and play it in WMP and the sound is there, but when I play it while in Vegas or Acid, the video goes with no sound. It used to work so I don't know what changed, any ideas?

I just noticed that when I try to preview a song in Acid, the sound meter moves, but no sound comes out. The sound works fine for everything else on my computer, just not these 2 programs.

First check very carefully it isnt turned off / down anywhere (if you havent already).
Check the windows volume settings - make sure none are muted or turned right down.

I just tried re-installing Acid and still no sound. I also tried the demo of Sony MusicMaker or something like that, which had a similar interface and it worked fine, but I need to get Acid to work.
