sony vegas 2 QUESTIONS. i suck at editing

ok so im trying to make a skate video and i need help.

1. how do you get good slow motion so it doesnt skip
2. how do u add text while playing the video

i wood be very happy if u cood help me

im new to vegas myself, just go it this weekend, but i would assume a velocity envolope would do your speed control, the text im not sure, like i say i have only just got it myself and im still checking out all the features.

1/- Speed Velocity Envelopes.
You could also apply CTRL+ Drag End of Clip towards centre of Event

2/- Text OVER Video

You'd think - huh?

Actually, I have a "WARNING" bell that sounds only when you logon.

But I'll take it as a wish for me to retain this behaviour?

I would hope I've been both entertaining and that at least some of my scribblings have been beneficial?

What I do is:

1/ - Insert/Place a Text Event. on Track1

2/- Edit the Text Event's "Sample Text" with what I wont and make adjustments to Font; Weight; Style; Justification; Shadow; Position . .. .etc etc . .

Yup, think that kinda covers it?

Or was there something more?
