Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

I am assuming the file was too large as it timed out when trying to load.

Video files can be gargantuan, humungous, huge, large or just big depending on how you render and compress them, my guess is that you are rendering to quite a large and uncompressed file, hence it will not e mail.

This being the case, check out this fine tutorial ( i wrote it) on compression with vegas.

try ending it by YouSendIt - File Sharing Transfer Delivery - PC FTP Replacement, this allows large files that exceed e-mail restrictions.

So, there's your first upper limit. What is the largest file size I can send through email? The next could be quality; format size ( WxH); Audio considerations; playability at the other end .. and so on ..

Just in terms of raw size, well, OE gives me 3mbs. Where as Googlemail gives me 10mbs. Soooo not ALL email will allow/send the same UPPER limit. Oh, and THEN there is what will be accepted by the recipient's service.

The point that I'm badly making, is that at some point you may very well decide NOT to email and rather server it to somebody via a 3rd party server. If you do this then you have a whole bunch of options.

Now having said that I HAVE sent pretty good drafts via email using Vegas WMP9 template.

Grazie
