Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Sony Vegas rendering to Xvid / DivX

I have imported from My Mini DV Camcorder the avi file to a project using the Template DV PAL Widescreen.

The video comes in just fine and I can edit / work on my project and create my final output ready for rendering.

I wish to output it as DivX / Xvid so I can burn it to CD and view on my DVD Player.

I customise the Sound and Video options for Rendering to avi as follows:

I keep the 720x576 size
Standard 25fps
Video Format - DivX or Xvid
Field Order - None (progressive scan)

Audio is just as mp3 with 112kBit/s and 44.1 Hz

The problem is the video comes out like crap, mussing, lines, doesnt look good at all.

I have previously edited Fraps and DivX movies and had no issues with the output. Can anyone please tell me where I am going wrong?

Tnx a mil,

Inqui

Not sure if I understand this properly... but if you want to make a DVD you must render to MPEG2. MPEG2 IS DVD.

I have a DVD Player that plays DivX / Xvid burnt as data to a CD. To Clarify.

Tnx and any advice would be appreciated.
