The shortest fw cable I can find is 1 foot, I cannot locate anything shorter than that, yet I would have thought that for daisy chaining drives together a 6 inch would be ideal.

Default JVC GR-DVL313 with PCMCIA firewire
I installed a PCMCIA Firewire (OHCI Complainat 1394) card on my thinkpad (P3 500mhz 256 Mb WinXP sp2) it recognised the card fine. I then connected my DV camcorder GR-DVL313 which was also recognised. after a few days when I plugin my camcorder to the firewire card it is not seen by XP. I have tried reinstalling drivers to no avail.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
