First off I'm not really a expert in this but I have used vegas before and it worked fine. But with my new computer I am unable to render audio in greater quality then 56kbps with mp3.
When rendering to a .avi file and selecting MPEG Layer-3 for audio the maximum quality that I can choose is 56kbps.
Also I've installed AC3 codec but it dont even show up on the list of choosable codecs when rendering.

Maybe this is a problem with vegas not willing to accept the codecs or something i really dont know... All help is appreciated! Thank you in advance.
Edit: After some googling I came across this
Download LAME ACM Codec 3.97 - It enables you to use the Lame MP3 encoding engine in e.g. VirtualDub, FlasK MPEG etc - Softpedia wich alowed the Lame mp3 codec to be used by editing software. So problem solved
