Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Sony Vegas 7 text question.

Hi, I just started using Sony Vegas. I've found it pretty easy to work with so far. But there's just one thing that I can't quite get. It has to do with text in the video.
I've looked in the help files, but they haven't been all that helpful in this subject.

That's basically what I want. Not really subtitles but text in general that I can put in while the film is still in motion, rather than a solid color in the background. I'm sorry if this is such a simple question. The answer has probably been right in front of me and I didn't notice. But i'd appreciate the help! Thanks.

EDIT: I appologise. I found out on my own. ^^ This can be locked now.

A Text Insert Procedure - takes about 4 seconds to do!

#1 - Track ABOVE your video is where you place your TEXT. If you haven't done so, then do so now. Insert Video Track above your vid track. - BOOM!

#2 - Scrub a SELECTION along this Text Track the space/time you want to have your Text running over your video. BOOM!

#3 - Right Click on this SELECTION and choose "Insert Text Media" from drop down Menu - BOOM! Done!

You now have your Text, in place, covering the time you wanted and where you wanted. Dead easy!! 3 steps!
