I'm using particle illusion to make effects and then I'm using them in vegas but for some reason when I import them in vegas they are black and white. I looked at the regular video of it and it is not black and white and in the timeline the it shows it full color. Anytime I play it in the viewer though it is black and white. Anyhelp is much appreciated.

Have you dropped a B&W filter onto the clip or on the preview moniter?

I was dropping the mask generator effect on it and it was turning anything in that row black and white. I figured out how to fix it though.

If you drop anything on the left where the faders are it effects the whole track if you just drop an effect on the clip it effects just that clip, if you drop an effect in the preview window it effects the whole project

Two further methods are: Paste Event Event Attributes - discussed here before - and apply Media FX at the Project Media Window:-

#1 - Go to Project Media Window/Tab

#2 - Select Events you want to apply FX - many ways to do this!

#3 - Right click on any Event Selected

#4 - Choose "Media Fx" from drop down menu

This is neat if you have previously sorted your Media into bins - e.g. I could have a Bin marked say "Street Scenes" and I want to OVER saturate or make BnW all these Events and don't want to search for them on the timeline!!
