When I try to move my audio track it moves the video track as well. I cannot move the audio track to a different position so that the lip sync is correct! This is probably something really basic, and I haven't had this problem before, but help!

try ungrouping the audio and video - right click on the clip that you want, seleect group, ungroup. then you should be able to move the video anmd audio sepertaly. to group them back together just select both clips and press "G" or right click, group.

Thanks. Actually figured this out late last night - just find it odd that it automatically groups it in the first place. Most progs leave it to you to group something if you want to!

It groups on default because some people have problems with audio sync. Vegas 6 has it ungrouped by default.
