Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Hey guys I havent been able to read the whole thread but i wonder if anyone has a quick answer to my problem. I upload gameplay videos to youtube and record with a Hauppauge HD PVR. The Hauppauge records at 13.5MB bit rate (I can change the bit rate if I need to) and 60fps which looks beautiful in its nattive m2ts file.

As I want to achieve as close to that quality on youtube as possible I rendered as wmv @ 13.5 bit rate, 59 fps and here were the results when I uploaded to youtube

problem is my audio was out of sync!! Is this because the bitrate is more then Youtube can handle? As you can see I uploaded the file itself to filefront and the audio doesnt lag when playing on my computer

Youtube render test.wmv

Does anyone know the solution to this problem? Or what the optimum settings youtube will be able to handle to get as close to the original file quality as possible?

MANY thank for anyone who can help!!!

PS I use Sony Vegas Pro 9.0

Default Here is My You Tube Video

Here is a link to my Video which I made and Edited with Sony Vegas Platinum Pro 9

The original video was a montage of clips, with titles and music added About a minute long, nice transitions and effects

As you can see, typical for Sony Vegas, only 4 seconds came through, but I have learned that to be par for the course, so to speak, for this program

And NO, the Box which says "Render Loop Only" Was NOT CHECKED!!!

By the way, on the editing timeline in the prgram, the video looks quite worthy of a prize

I found a few programs free where you can download off of YouTube. Something like
YouTube Downloader - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com

NOW Supposedly, I don;t know if it works or not (probably NOT) Sony Vegas will leift hte Audio off o f the video, BUT there are many programs (do a google search) FO software that will lift the music off o f the vid.

Hi, I have a youtube account under the same name as my forum account. I record gameplay from games as videos and HQ just doesn't cut it. Even if the video I have before hand is pretty clear, the video after youtube messes with it is blurred up. So what I'm trying to do is make youtube think that the video is HD by rendering in 1280x720. However, the resolution of my source video is 740x480. Is there anyway to still render in 1280x720 so that youtube still thinks it's HD, but keep the video at 740x480? Like, I mean is there a way for the video to keep the footage in its source size with letterboxing around the video, and then still have the video be in 1280x720?

I'm using Sony Vegas 8 by the way.

I think its worth putting up with the size of file if you want the quality.
Its criminal to downgrade the capability of a good camera.

...um i'm new to this forum but at this point i a kinda desperate..... i read over this whole section and I can't find anything to work for me yet :(

I have sony vegas 9 and all the footage I have has been ripped off DVDs (so it is great quality) ..and it looks great in the preview window on sony vegas with it is set to "Best (FUll)" .... but then i render it and it does not seem hold the quality, and I think I have set up everything correctly for it to be the best quality on youtube, but it comes out quite blurry compared to other vidder's work....I have tried a bunch of the "best HD sony vegas render settings" videos on youtube, but there is still a huge difference between the "Best (full)" in sony vegas, and what shows up on youtube.....is there anything anyone can do to help?? .... anything, anything at all please!!!!

this is am example of what i am talking about :
