Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default SonyVegas 7.0 Platinum

Hey,

I was just wondering, I am trying to make an object in one of my videos float in mid air and I don't know how to do it is there any video affect or something that can make and object in my video float in mid air? I have a greenscreen for a background, I pick up the object that I want to float and I am trying to get my hand out of the image so it just looks like the image is just floating in the air. Is there any program or affect that can eliminate my hand so it will just look the my image is floating?
My video editing system is SonyVegas 7.0 Platinum

Thanks,
Lindvideo15

Need a little more clarrification here. Is it an object that you've filmed against a plain background or just a random object that happens to be in your video? If it's the former it could be pretty easy. If the latter, it will be hellish difficult. If the object takes up the whole image, again easy, if not..... you see where I'm going? If you have the opportunity to refilm it against a blue or greenscreen it will make your life alot easier.

More detail please.

You need to either

a. cloak your hand in the same material. (That is by far the best method), or
b. create a mask in around the object in track motion. Very fiddly and time consuming but I've done it successfully on lots of occassions.
