Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

The Safe action area is there to allow for overscan on TVs. You'll almost always find a TV will not display content very close to the edges. It will display correctly on a PC though. Can you describe the second problem in more detail?

The only way I know to get a b ground video in the safe area is to render it with a black border in an editor, but I am no expert with this app.

This is exactly correct. Use the safe area overlay in your Vegas preview window to get it exactly right and render before importing into DVDa.

My feeling is though that your background should be shot with the safe area in mind as you would with all footage. If you shoot without thinking about it you need to start doing so.
