I'm very very sorry about this but have got my self in a pickle.
Im really new to Vegas (i have V6) and am really still learning the basics.
Anyway, My girl/f is doing an Art degre and for a video peice, i need to reverse the clip. I have added the Velocity envelope and moved it down so the clip is reverse but it is very very jumpy, as if re-winding it. Can this be changed?
Pls help as i need to get this done for Monday morning, i have not left a lot of time i know!!!
Please any answers, talk like your talkng to a 5 year old, i will not be offended

Is the clip jumpy even when rendered? I suspect it is only jumpy when previewing. It is common for previewed video in any editor to appear jumpy - the frame rate drops as the PC generates the preview picture in reak time.
It is a not a probelm so much as an inevitability.
Can be decreased with a faster PC or by setting the preview window to 'draught' or 'preview'.

What was the original media? AVI, MPG,WMV . . what? If you haven't yet rendered it out, then just Previewing on a non-AVI would push the maths on the PC to work very "jumpily". YEah?
Please tell us if you are still getting this once it has been rendered?

it may be to do with the velocity envelope which i have found to be a little buggy at times. Instead of using the envelope to reverse the clip, right click on the clip and hit "reverse" then adjust the speed with the envelope

Hi,
Sorry it has been very busy here and i have not had another chance at sorting this.
I will try and get back.
Thank you so far for your support.
At the moment i am just going to the 'Preview in player' mode and it is still jumpy, it does render it there.
Irish, there is an option on right clicking?? i did not know that
