Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Doing a border

Hello

I know you can do Borders in Vegas 7 but I only want a border like you see on the TV. A border where it has a black line at the top of the screen and one at the bottom. Is there anyway to do this?

Thanks.

Is that a border? If you just want black top and bottom have a look at josie_bear 2003's post below?

Sure.

Off the top of me head, 2 so far:

#1 - T1 & T2 SOLID Black Generated Media resized thru' Track Motion. T1 for the top bar and T2 for the lower Bar and put Video on T3

#2 - Bezier Masking - T1 Video, T2 Solid Black GenMed. Mask your central area you WANT seen, this will allow the BLACK Bars above and below. Make the Bezier further out from OBJECT. Use the GRID dots to align the BEZ.

Either way you're gonna "loose" the above and below detail? Yeah?

Want the Veg?

Grazie

OR, create a graphic in a Graph package and import that. The middle section you could make some AWFUL colour and then use. Import into Vegas and put it on the TOPMOST Track & Chroma key OUT and REMOVE the AWFUL colour! You now have a WINDOW onto your video
