Does anyone know how to add straplines to a video - in the sense of a TV news report, the strap that you see across the bottom of the screen telling you the name of the interviewee. I'm a journalism student and have so far only used movie studio for home movies so haven't need them, but can't figure out how to do this now. I've tried using a transparent text media generator but the background always seems to fade to black rather than stay transparent so you can see the picture underneath it. Help! Thank you!

If you download Vol 2 Issue 10 (December 2004) at this link they'res a tut there called Lower Thirds.....I don't understand why just using a transparent text generator doesn't work tho???

Fantastic - thanks so much for the quick response! Works like a dream. And I've now figured out where I was going wrong with the transparent text generator - I was layering it on top of the event rather than adding a new video track - doh! It's always the simple things.
