Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Depending on how LARGE the area for "fixing" is, what I've done is to cut a GOOD section from somewhere near the area and "move" to cover up the BAD area.

Procedure

#1 - Insert a NEW track and place same Event above its OWN original : You should now have same Event on Track 1 and Track 2

#2 - Cookie Cut OR Bezier Mask a GOOD section on T1 in question

#3 - Track Motion - that is to OFFSET the area - of T1, and position OVER the dodgy T2 area.

Done!

hmm, i thought about it too, but the pixels are quite big and about 20 or more in each frame (25frames/s) and if i had to make it only in a 10 min clip, it would take me a lot time (if I'd survive that)

don't you know any software that could do it?

i'll post here some screenshots of the clip, to see what i mean...

Eh? "a" bad? You have loads!!

My only suggestion here would be to view the footage, again, and establish if there are any pixels on that. If not then try and re-capture.

Good luck!! - G

oh I forgot to mention, that re-capture won't help, 'cause the tape is damaged. there are some tiny waves on the edge of the tape, right in the places where the pixels are bad

I think you are pretty much screwed unless you want to spend hours and hours doing what Grazie detailed, or deal with it frame by frame. Dont envy you at all with this one.
