Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Watching video after rendering it

Ok I dont understand this. When I watch my video after I have rendered it its fine until it gets to scenes where I have added the TV effect. Everytime the video gets to a scene where I have added the TV effect, the clip will slow down. I dont understand why it does this. The clip will slow down, then when the tv effect goes off the video goes back to normal. Any help would be much appreciated.

Unless you've accidentally rubberbanded the clip or applied a velocity envelope, there's no reason for that to happen. What's it like in preview? Does it slow there too?

I have not had this happen and I have tried to produce the same problem on my system but it hasnt happened. I suspect tm may be on to something... as he says it would be helpfull to know if it also occurs in preview.

It is normal for frame rate to drop when applying effects but it shouldnt happen in a rendered project.

I have figured out what was wrong. As soon I changed the render setting to AVI Uncompressed, the video played fine all the way through.

Thanks guys anyway

Rendering stuff as uncompressed gains little and costs much in disc space...

It would be interesting to know what codec caused the problem.

A low bit rate with many codecs will struggle to compress anyting with noise in it like the tv plug in causes, this can cause a frame rate drop, is that it maybe >?

When I was having the problem I was rendering it in MPEG format, as soon as I switched it to AVI, the whole video played fine.
