Everytime I import a file into Vegas 7 it keeps crashing. What is the reason for this

I find vegas very stable.
What sort of video file is it ? Does it do it with other files / types of video? Anything else crashing your pc?

hmm I think i know what it was. The file was really big, thats why it keeps crashing. I tired importing another file and it was fine. I have another question, saves me making a new thread.

I copied my film to DVD but when I watch it on my TV some of the opening credits text is cut off on the side of the screen, so not all of the text fits in on the TV. This doesnt happen on my PC, is it something to do with the screen settings?
