I believe you are refering to the properties of the menu page itself, not sure seeing how I don't have the software in front of me (I've seen what you are talking about).
Anyhow, I've got a bit of breathing room (til Thankgiving ) to get my DVD projects finished. I've now got a hold of a Hi8 camcorder and all the source tapes. So my new plan of attack is to recapture all the videos (there are several, *sigh*), and go from there. I've already tried a small capture and it produced an .mpg file than had both left and right audio channels. Not sure what I did wrong the 1st time.
So, not having to deal with fixing the single audio channel problem and getting the audio synced up should make this whole process alot easier.
I'm hoping that having the source material (.mpg files) 'complete', audio-wise, will aleviate my headaches and eliminate the need to encode/render the video/audio as separate streams and then pair them back together in DVDa. If you think I will still have to separate/pair together, let me know why you think so.
Again, thanks so much for your help.

Just a thought...
About the 'audio out of sync with the video' problem that started this thread...
I am burning, using a Sony DVD burner, at 16x using DVD-R media that is rated at 16x. Despite the fact that the burner and media both support 16x, I wonder if I should slow down the rate at which I burn. I seem to recall reading somewhere that burning at slower rates may lead to less 'coasters' or errors in the DVDs produced. Just to reiterate, the audio seems to be 'ok' to start, but appears to get progressively more out of sync as the DVD playback progresses; not positive on this.
BTW, the media I'm using is supposed to be top-notch; Tayo Yudon from rima.com
Anyone have any thoughts or experiences regarding this topic?

If the problem doesn't present itself in Preview mode in DVDa, it won't be the disc. Also, you've not mentioned this, but does it happen before you edit etc? i.e. Is the original capture in time?

Oh, yea that would have been nice to know. The answer is no, the video is fine before editing with Vegas. The audio/video is in sync.
