I have some more questions,
is, like windows movie maker, sony vegas dosen't support avi? I mean the episde dosent show up in avi format no format but wmv works. Why?
Also is there a way to crop all clips at once?
How do you put text on a clip?

To edit a file you need to have the right codec installed - what eaxactly is the file you want to edit? DV, divx? Where did it come from. Get the right codec and all should be well.
Try googling 'codec pack' and install a bunch and try again.

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply. The media I am trying to import is .avi format. I already tried nimo codec and it destroyed other avi's I could not veiw them so please some other solution?

More info needed - an .avi is like a box, it can contain all sorts of codecs and types of video.
Use gspot to look inside and see those details - google it.

there a some really good guidebooks for vegas on amazon. i purchased Vegas 6: Revealed, The Official Guide. it is written by Doug Sahlin and is well worth the $20 i payed for it. It starts with beginners information and goes all the way through expert. i strongly recommend picking one up if Vegas is giving you problems like it did me in the beginning.

Can anyone tell me how to use track motion? I mean if I want the naruto logo on a moving clip how do I do it using track motion? Or is there another way, if there is please give a tut on it.
