Thread: Bit OT: Boatplane

I've just had a client tell me he wants to get a hold of 5 of these things for a video shoot with minicams........

but he doesnt know where to buy. Anyone here seen them for sale?. They have a De Walt sticker on them but they dont seem to know anything about them and the web address at the end of the vid is almost unreadable.

Its a documentary about flying fish in the Sea of Japan and he (director-japanese) figured it would be good to have these things with thumbnail cameras in them...POV fish! and operate them at sea from a boat. Idea is to try and get them 'in the waves' and also be able to splashdown and take off. Personally I reckon they look seriously 'lightweight' to fly in waves (especially with extra weight of camera) given that to get waves you need wind and these things look like they would struggle against a fart...scuse my english!!.The Japanese love gimmicky toys!

It would be interesting if it could be done, never seen them before but I WANT ONE.
