The show me about crop and pan says

"By moving the mouse over the image and aroudn the grab handles (), the pointer will change to indicate different tools."

But the pointer does not change, it remains as a zoom mark (the magnifying glass) even when I am on or around those grab handles.

Possibily relevant facts
I am usign the trial edition of Vegas Movie Studio (purchase - possibly of Vegas 7 which is very cheap right now, on the way though).
I am editing mp4 in its ms42 (I think) incarnation.

I figured it out.
There are icons to the left of the pan/crop event window that allow you to specify a pointer or a magnifying glass. These should have been obvious.

I am surprised that the "Show me how" did not tell me that I had the wrong pointer selected. Are you listening Sony? You need to add that one in.
