Sony Vegas and Media Studio Yep, I know they're not related, but they both fall in the Premiere Alternative bracket in my humble opinion! Post here for Ulead Media Studio or Vegas video problems or pointers...

Default Batch sizing photo's in vegas!!!

Hi all you 'Vegsters' out there!

I have a 156 photo DVD story book to complete with transitions and music.

Question.........Is there a way that the individual photo's can be batch processed, i.e. made the same length with the same fades in and out?

This would really speed things up and it is then easier to undo the settings on the few slides that require it.

let me know?

I dont batch process but there are ways to speed this process up.

In preferences - editing - set still image length; here you can set the length of each still when imported.

Cant think of a fast way to overlap for fades.

One transition can be applied to all fades by selecting the fades using the selection edit tool, hold lmb and pull a box round the desired fades, then drag the transistion you want to one fade and it will be applied to all selected.

You can also do it in dvda by clicking on the "add photo comp" you can also set it automaticly to the music so the slideshow ends when the music dose.

Thanks for that post.

I had a sneaky feeling that the answer may lie in DVDA and I will take a look. The only issue is that my storybokks are quite complicated. Could the processed photo's be reimported into vegas?
